Back to Work

Man, I tell ya...it is sooooooooo nice to have Monday off. I wish I could say I used my day off wisely and got caught up on some stuff, but I didn't. My weekend was pretty good. I can't say that I did much on Friday, cause I didn't. Just hung out at home. Sabrina came over and we watched a couple of movies, so I guess I did do something. That was fun. The movies we watched were good. Just Like Heaven and In Her Shoes. I liked them both a lot. Saturday I had to work, mom was gonna let me have the weekend off, but found out that she had tickets to go to a cooking show with a couple of her girls. It was cool, so I said I'd work and she said I could take Monday off, so of course...well you know, cause you've read this far. Anyway, since I ended up working Sabrina said she'd watch Mickayla so I took her out there (after taking her to the Dr. to get her toe drained.) Yes, I did say drained. I'm not sure if I mentioned it, but on Wed. night, after piano, she was playing with Taylor and dropped a five lb. weight on her big toe. (OWWWWWW!) Good lesson learned. When mom and grandma say don't mess with grandpa's work out equipment, then you probably shouldn't. So anyway back to the point. Her toe swelled up and the nail has raised and it's dead around the cuticle and above (which means no more big toe nail). The Dr. snipped it at the cuticle to release the pressure and ease the pain, and now she's fine. Oh, and he's 99% sure the nail will grow back. Thank goodness, because I don't know how I could have lived with my daughter having sure an incredible deformity...whatever (It's just a toe nail!!) Anyway, so she got to hang out with Sabrina all day...including going to the very sad excuse for a basketball game with her. Ok, so that wasn't nice, but the boys bball team got their asses handed to them on a silver platter. Anyway, I was to be alone for awhile, so I went down to Dan and Nancys to eat some dinner and just hang out for a bit. Then I got a call from Candace Brown to go out with her and my cousin and a couple other people in Reedsburg, because they just opened the Badger theater up as a bar. Without going into too much detail, I will say that I had a great time...and it was a much needed night out. And I got to watch a girl fall off a stool which was funny...and I was tempted not to help her up cause she's...well, I won't go there...but I helped her up. Anyway, I had a lot of fun and that's all that matters. Now that I have rambled and rambled, I guess I will stop typing and go get some work done. Cause there is a lot to do.

it is pretty cool. They have a huge stage for bands for one. And it's like two level. They still have some theather seats in, down by the stage...the only uncool thing is there is like a platform that you have to step up onto that they use as dance floor, and it's not a very big area, so it could be potentially hazardous.
