My little homemaker

Now, if I were smart, I would have taken pictures or video taped the evening last night. Mickayla asked grandma what was for dinner I guess (I was in another room at this point) and asked if she could help. Well, my mom had her set the table. Mickayla thought this was just a great idea, so she got out dinner plates, salad plates, and bowls. She filled our water glasses and set them on the table. She then got out the silverware, dinner fork, salad fork, spoon, and knife. All set up along side the plates like they should be. Each of us got to napkins, one for our laps and one to wipe our mouths with. She put all the salad fixings on the table and then came to get me. Mommy let's bake cookies for dessert. Ok, I said. So we got out the already prepared dough and placed it on the cookie sheets and waited for the oven to heat up (wow the cookies were hard work). When everything was ready, Mickayla called us to the table, showed us where to sit, then said grace. She is just the cutest thing in the world. She makes me laugh everyday. How lucky am I.
