She's Not My Idol

Yeah!!! Another week another wanna be idol booted off. This week it was Kelly Pickler THANK GOD!!! It's about time. I've been waiting for them to get rid of her for about a month. I cannot stand her. Her voice was whiney...she's stupid...and I think sometimes she pretended to be more stupid than she actually was. Which makes absolutely no sense to me...I don't know if she thought people actually thought the dumb blonde thing was cute or what...anyway...she annoyed me every time she talked, so I'm glad she's gone now. Next week I hope it's either Taylor or Paris that get the boot. I'd actually vote for Taylor before Paris...she's irritating too...she's got that cutsie little voice that makes you wanna stuff a sock down her throat to shut her up. And, she thinks she's got it made in the shade just because of her family and who they are....ok...if you really are that good and your aunt is famous (or whoever it is that is) then you shouldn't need American Idol...let people who have no other chance to make it big get on the show. Grrr....

What the Rash!

So my weekend was ok. I didn't have Mickayla, so I rented Hostage the new Bruce Willis movie....it was pretty damn good...I spent the whole movie is suspense. I recommend it if you are looking for a good suspense/thriller. Then Sat morning I got a call from Nancy asking if I wanted to work with her that night...and since I literally had nothing else to do, I said I would. Well, that was a damn good call on my part...since Nancy doesn't take tips, I made about 68 bucks. Whoo hoo! That made me happy. Last night was spent working on my room...it's about half done. Hopefully I'll get it finished this weekend (since no one else will be home), which brings us up to date. This morning I get up and get around as usual...then call Mickayla to come get dressed. She started complaining that she itched...and being the sensitive mom that I am said "well itch it then and get dressed." She did and then came out to eat and I just went about my business getting her some oatmeal and getting myself ready and then sat down to smoke and wait for her so I could brush her hair. Well when she came out I was like "WOW no WONDER you itch!!" She was covered on one half of her face, her back, her stomach, and her arms with a rash. So I talked to my mom and decided I should take her to the Dr. since she hadn't had a rash since she was barely a year old. We found out that they don't think it was a virus, because she didn't show any other symptoms such as fever. So it must have been an allergic reaction to something...but what????? She's never had this happen before...we didn't change anything such as soap or shampoo or laundry detergent...so the only thing we can come up with is maybe there was something in her bed that caused it...but again....WHAT?? Anyway, we wrote it on the calander saying how and when it appeared...just in case within the next couple of days to week she does develop a fever or something strange....because if she does the two things could be related...and Mr. North told me to give her benedryl every four hours for today....and it's going away. So who knows...not me...but I would like to....I'd like to be able to prevent it from happening again....the only thing I do know, is that this whole thing has made me feel itchy all day.

Why Bother

Sometimes I don't know why I even bother trying to accomplish stuff. Today has been nothing but running from one place to another. It started with running Mickayla to school, then at about quarter to 11 I went to the office, then I went home to work on my room for a while. I then got back to work at a little after 1....at 2:30 I went to take something to Mr. Wolf, he was nowhere to be found. I get back to work at 2:40 and have to go pick Mickayla up from school. Now at 10 to 5 I have to take her to dance....then come back to work...sometimes I wish things were a little slower for me...or maybe that I only worked until 3:oo. Or maybe that I had a child care provider in home, like a nanny to do all the bug running for me. Oh well. I really would prefer the 3:00 day though. Maybe next year. Lol....it's a funny joke.

Stupid Old People Piss Me Off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AHHHHHHH! I decided that I hate grumpy old people who are dumb on top of being assholes. I just had an old lady call me, because she wanted to bring back a puzzle because she said it didn't have the right pieces. And I told her that in order for me to refund her money, she'd have to either a) call back and talk to the owner or b) that I would have to look at it and see for sure. And she was like "oh brother, that'll take you three weeks" and I said well that is the only thing I can do about it...and she was like "I was told that if it didn't work I can bring it back for a refund" and I was like yes, but I would have to look at it first..."you can't just take my word for it" and I told her no, that I would have to look at it first..."well I may as well throw it in the garbage".....so ok...if it really were that big of a deal, she would have brought it in for me to look at. Which she would have had to bring it back anyway if she wanted a refund....but it's shit like that that just makes me think she wants to rip us off. Get her money back just because she can't figure the puzzle out. GGRRRR...plus I think this was the same lady that called about 45 min ago wondering why we only have holiday specific window clings and why can't we get just regular spring and summer ones....Man, I just dislike old people more and more everyday from working here....

I Have the Coolest Blog in the Universe!!!!

Or maybe just amungst our group....and besides Sabrina. With a little bit of playing around, I was able to add both music and picture to my blog. This now makes me the coolest person ever. I then shared my secrets with Sabrina who fiddled with hers to then show me how to alter size so that the placement of our new found coolness could be perfect. I'm soo proud of us...and how smart we are getting just from having these blogs...we rock!

Beth, are you ill???

This is my question...because you've been commenting on all our blogs...and I keep checking yours and nothing. Nothing at all. And the really sad thing....Jake even updated. Now we all know that Jake never updates and Beth normally is pretty good about it....due to this craziness I decided that either a) Hell froze over b) the planets are in some crazy alignment or c) the world is about to implode.

Drinking, Easter, and Brynn

So last night (Saturday)...I got completely drunk. I mean really really drunk...everyone came over after the bars closed and I decided that I just needed to go to bed, so I left everyone there. Sunday morning, I first got a call from Jake McCoy. He couldn't find his keys and they were here. Shortly after, Cole and Nate and Sue and everyone got here for egg hunting. After egg hunting, we were all sitting in the kitchen, and out of nowhere Rusty showed up. Apparently he was asleep in the basement. No one even knew he was there. I'd even gone down there to find Jake's keys and never saw him. He called Jake to come pick him up and then he Cole, Jake, my mom, and other family, and I just sat in the kitchen and proceeded to have a bit of the hair of the dog. Well, the hair of the dog turned into at least an hour and 2 bottles of champagne (used to make raspberry bellinis). A little later, Rusty and Jake left, and we started to prepare for Easter. I took Darrin to change his clothes and to look for Fluffy, since he ran away. We found him and he chased us to Kwik Trip where he finally came to me. About 30 min later I got home and Rusty was here with Brynn to visit for a little while. Mickayla was soooo happy to see her. This morning, I was soooooo hung over that I came down with Mickayla to check out her Easter basket said oh cool to the stuff he brought her and went back to bed. Nice, mom.

Anyway, here are pictures of Brynn and Mickayla

So, my room is basically done. I just gotta put stuff back. I painted the two walls without window a purple color and did a double roller to make a sponge pain affect with two lighter shades of the darker color. On the walls with the window will be my bed with the bed set that has the same purple has my walls in it....and curtains that match. Nate hung three crown molding designed shelves on one of the white walls and I put a whole bunch of pictures on and around it. On one of the purple walls is the painting that Jake got me for christmas. And on the other painted wall between my closet door and my bedroom door I bought silver frames t0 do a "collage" of pictures of Mickayla from weddings she has been in. It should be awesome when it's done. Oh, and I'm getting a wool accent rug that is purple. It is cool. Hope everyone else had (is having) a great Easter.

...

So, I don't have much to say today. I got to spend my day yesterday working on my room at the house...and it's looking awesome. But I also got to spend a lot of time with my girls. Sabrina, Sara, Jeny, and I met for lunch and then afterward, I took Jeny and Sara to see how far the house has come. They hung out for awhile and Sara and Mickayla both took turns kicking my ass at playstation (dragonball z). It is nice just hanging out. I wish I could do it more often.

New Addictions

Ok, so last night I watched the end of American Idol...which we all know is my drug of choice. But what I found out was that I LOVE House. Now I'd seen a bit of it here and there, but never really watched it. And I kinda liked what I'd seen before, but knew nothing about it, so didn't watch. Well last night got me hooked. Then after that was over at 9 I flipped over to NBC, where normally I get my Law and Order fix. SVU is my favorite of all Law and Orders, but it had been replaced by Coviction last night. And now I've decided that I am quite fond of that show too....so now I've gone from having a show on Sunday and American Idol on Tues and Wed..and then Thurs. night line up...so before that was 6-7 shows that I'd watch on a regular basis. Well now it's Crossing Jordan on Sunday, 7th Heaven on Mon. (this doesn't really count cause it's going off the air), American Idol and House on Tues, American Idol on Wed, The Office, My Name is Earl, and ER on Thurs, and Conviction on Friday...not too mention the reruns of Crossing Jordan Mon-Thurs on A&E, if I'm still awake at 10pm. Yeah, so this is all the excitement in my life at present....and it saddens me

What do you think??

Last night, Sabrina stopped by just as the show John Edwards Cross Country came on the telie. Now I would hope that my friends out there who are up on all the hip shows and new shows have heard of this guy, he used to just be on a show called Crossing Over. Anyway, the only difference is he travels from coast to coast connecting people with loved ones who have passed.

Now my question is this: Do you believe in life on the other side, and do you believe that there is actually someone out there who can connect with them and relay their messages to us?

Example from the show: This couple lost their son when he was 16, he died in a car accident, he would be 20 now. In John Edward's audience is the kids aunt and uncle. John Edwards, without saying anything to make the people really think that it is their nephew, singles out the couple. And starts off, well, at first he's talking so fast that the people don't even seem to be able to keep up to answer the questions, but you get the gist that yes it is their nephew. John asks if the boy would be 28 now and they say no, 20. Well, John says well, what is significant then about 28 or 29, or 27...and the couple was like no...nothing...and then realized that that was the date he died...And his aunt and uncle new nothing about the other kids in the car with him and John asked a question about a La Crosse player that was on the kids team named Louis (or something) that may be with the kid...and they had no idea what he was talking about. Well, they later talked to the boy's mother and found out another kid had died in the accident a teammate named Louis. The story goes on and on...with just some things that the aunt and uncle had no idea what he was talking about, things that were later validated by the boys parents.

So, ponder this and let me know what you think.

I am inclined to believe that it is possible. Especially in the situations where the death is sudden and unexpected. Like the deceased feels the need to explain what happened so that the people left behind can be reassured. Some things seem like they may be hokey...but a lot of it doesn't. Thinking about it...somewhere along the line this must of really happened to someone in some way...because without stuff like this actually happening at least once, it doesn't seem like people would have ever thought of it as a way to make money...

But I would say yes, for the most part, at least with this guy...I'm inclined to believe it, at least for the most part

Holy Shit, it did get sunny

Whoever thought that the weatherman would actually be right? Well today he was pretty much dead on. I checked the weather this morning and it said rain in the morning changing to snow late morning then after noon sometime it would clear up and become partly sunny. It amazes me that they would be that dead on. Rather, get it right in the first place. I am now in a better mood just because of this.

Success and Rain

Well, in case any of you were wondering...the program was a hit. All the kids were soo cute. The theme was broadway, the 6th grade kicked things off with songs from Bye Bye Birdie, songs from Newsies were done by the 5th grade, songs from the little shop of horrors by the 4th grade, 3rd grade did Sound of Music, 2nd grade did Annie I think I'm getting these right, 1st grade did Mary Poppins, Kindergarten did Guys and Dolls, and the 4K sang songs from the Lion King. The 6th grade girls choir sang On My Own from Les Miserables, Hopelessly Devoted to You from Grease and Be Kind to Your Parents from Fanny. It was great, and at the end, all the classes sang On Broadway from Smokey Joe's Cafe.

Rain sucks. It's been raining since early on yesterday evening and it is still raining. I want the sun to come out. I hate having to be out in this crap running from place to place. And on top of the rain, we got about 30 min of hail...a piece of which pelted me in the nose. Now I don't know if any of you have ever been hit in the nose with a chunk of hail, but let me tell you....it hurts. So anyway, that's an update into my world. Hope everyone elses day is off to a better start.

Spring Program

This Thursday, April 6th, little Miss Mickayla will be singing in her first ever school program. Yeah, I'm a little disappointed that they started alternating between Christmas and Spring, I'm still happy to know that the jr. K is involved. The theme of the program this year is musicals or something like that. Mickayla and her class will be singing two songs from the Lion King. As far as I know, she is super prepared. She sings the songs all the time. And I do mean all the time and at random. We could be sitting in the living room watching one of my shows and she'll bust into song...or while taking a shower, or tying her shoes, or whenever. It's cute though and I can't wait. My video camera is charged and ready to go. I'm sooo excited.
