New Party Spot????

Holy Moly! I've got to wonder what more my parents (well, dad anyway) will get me into. So, sometime in the next day or two it will be official. We will be the owners of Dan and Nancy's. We will gradually transition me from here at the store, to the bar and I will be learning to run a whole new business. Yikes! During lunch today, Dan and Nancy gave me a little briefing
on some day to day things that I will be dealing with and when she'll show me how to set up the menu for the meal site and all that. I'm beginning to feel overwhelmed and excited as well. My parent's are crazy!!!!!! So, on that note on filling you in on what I know thus far, we have a new party spot. Dan and Nancy's is the place to be during events such as the alumni tournaments, so why not every couple of weekends or so and on the holidays? If you think about it, it's like mom and dad have expanded their basement bar right. Which is where everyone seems to end up anyway. For now, we are not shouting the word around town or anything and plan on making it a gradual thing since Nancy said she could stick around until spring or so until I feel completely comfortable. And one very nice thing is that they are both happy that people they know are buying it and not some random out of state person who is going to buy it run it into the ground and sell it again. Also, they seem happy and very supportive of me being the one to be "running" it. Which is nice and will help me to feel more comfortable in the position. I know this is probably a shock to most of you, if not all of you, but I hope you all support us in this new venture and I expect to see you all to come party with us at least once a year (that's all I ask). For now, I don't plan on really spreading the word until it's even more official (as in me actually back there learning the rest of the stuff that I don't know). But, it doesn't seem like it will be very long before that happens. So, in ending, I leave you with this quote from a great philosopher by the name of Wayne Campbell "Party on!!!"

asshole dogs and hospital visits

Ok, I know I give people shit about not updating and now it's been what almost two weeks since I did.
So, yesterday was the most crazy day I've had in a while. First of all, Monday night my dog got away from me and took off. Well, I was tired so I said "to hell with you dog" and went to bed. So, yesterday morning mom pulls up to pick me up for work. Well, Fuck knob the dog sees us and decides to chase us downtown. Well, we get to the store and guess what...he refuses to come in. So, mom and I decide to have him follow us back to the house, so he's not bothering businesses and crap. Well, he did just that, chased us back to the house, but again refused to go in or come to either of us. So, back in the car we go...and the little asshole chases our car (I kid you not) for an hour. And this dog can fly. Only about 1/4 of the size of a normal dog...but about twice the size of Beeth's babies. I swear he ran no less than 10 mph. We drove at least 4 miles, by the time we decided to head out onto ff, he was starting to drag a bit. We made it to the house just before Hofmeister's and the turn to go toward Tabor when he started to kind of walk. So we turned around and of course he just stood there until one of us moved toward him then he'd run a further away. Finally, he was so dead as tired that he laid down and I was able to walk up to him and he rolled almost completely to his back as if he were admitting defeat. Now, can anyone tell me how you are supposed to exercise a dog who's idea of fun is to chase your car at 10mph for an hour...other than actually tying him to the back of my vehicle?

So, this was only the start of my crazy day. The craziness just went on and on all day. But it finally peaked when Tammi decided to make dinner. Well, she had to slice the onions and stuff for it, so decided to use my brand new never been used Pampered Chef slicer dealioh, well, since she ended up finding a place to keep the nifty tool and decided to put it away and didn't put all the parts in the same spot, she didn't realize that there was a little safety tool thingy to help hold on to the food that you are slicing. Needless to say, we had to make a run to the ER for her. She basically sliced off the whole outside of her right thumb with the thing (she was making nice thick slices by the way) and the chunk she left behind included a small piece of nail. If she were to show it to you at the right angle it would look like she's missing just the whole top half of that side of her thumb. YUCK. But I got to drive :) Anyway...before we left the house, the kids were freaking out, because the blood just wouldn't stop pouring out...and Darrin starts bawling..."YOUR GONNA BLEED TO DEATH, I'm gonna drive to the hospital, come on mom" and I was like "Waaaiiit a minute, I think I'll be driving her there." he responds "WHAT IF YOU HAVE A SEIZURE!??!" at this point I had to stop and laugh, becuase what are the chances that at the exact moment of having to take her to the hospital that I would have a seizure...we decided to take our chances and have me drive, as darrin was sooo hysterical and I was very calm...that and he's only 14. It would have been an entirely different story had I not been home. It was a crazy day.

Oh, and before I finish this post I was told that I need to clear some things up.
Yes, I am taking Lamictal...however, Jeny, and I don't know why this was your assumption, but no, I am not bipolar. Lamictal was what my Dr. decided would be the best meds for my situation. I was confused as to why you just assumed I was bipolar, since I don't really ever even have mood swings let alone extreme highs and lows. And, please, instead of asking someone else what's going on, don't be afraid to ask me personally. I'm not ashamed by it and have no problem explaining it all.
